Use LockIn to support your own focus.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LockIn: Block Apps to Study ("LockIn", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using LockIn, you agree to these Terms.

1. What LockIn Does

LockIn is a focus and study-support app. It helps you choose distracting apps, set a daily allowance or focus schedule, and use study or work proof to start a focus session.

LockIn is not a medical, mental-health, emergency, parental-control, or safety service. It is a self-management tool for your own device and routine.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LockIn for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes.

3. Permissions and App Blocking

Some features depend on device permissions and operating-system APIs, including Apple's Screen Time APIs on iOS. App blocking, schedules, shields, notifications, camera proof, and location proof may not work unless you grant the required permissions.

Operating systems can change their APIs, permission flows, and enforcement rules. We do not guarantee that LockIn will block every app, website, category, or workaround in every situation.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Some LockIn features may require a paid subscription or purchase. Prices, billing periods, trials, and renewal terms are shown in the app and in your app-store purchase sheet before purchase.

• Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your app-store account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree not to misuse LockIn, attempt to reverse engineer the app, interfere with our systems, use the app for unlawful purposes, or use LockIn to monitor or restrict another person without proper consent and legal authority.

6. Intellectual Property

LockIn, including its design, copy, visuals, code, branding, and product experience, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse any part of the app except as allowed by law.

7. Availability and Changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue LockIn or parts of the app at any time. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

8. Disclaimer

LockIn is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Your use of the app is your responsibility.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of LockIn.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your location require otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of LockIn after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
